At the moment it's unclear to me if installing the drivers in Test Mode or with Disable Driver Signature Enforcement still works.
But the issue is still present. If standard driver installation gets stuck (does not finish after 100 sec) it is automatically closed. the larger problem is the DPC Latency. When the Creative X-Fi cards had the crackling issues years ago, this was often suggested due to IRQ conflics (IIRC)...so it might be worth a try with your Xonar.
