This is just stupid... ...i'll refuse to play on high settings, my pc can do better than that I may be ranting but i'm very disappointed Carmanen View Public Profile I've never had a problem with any ATI card I've owned, but every single nvidia one has had some horrible design flaw leading to it's horrible, crippling failure, usually through overheating.

Of course, remaining the fact that other cards didn't show similar problems, I believe that the problem is more driver-related, and ATi should really work fast to fix issues like this Fylladikatis :) Z270 at $140 is a tough battle, with thin margins.

You can also create a config file and paste commands "q_ShaderPostProcess = 2" and "r_UseEdgeAA=2" in it and it should work. try cleaning it up alittle By cleaning, you mean physically cleaning it by blowing the dust out of my GPU and CPU... ...as far as i know my GPU is not
Also, because it's the power draw from the plug socket that we measure, you can straight away discount 15-20 per cent of that figure because it's lost through the power conversion Adding 2 more of the Radeon 3870s is only 40% faster than two way HD3870. AMD needs all the good press they can get but $450 seems a bit much when comparing it to the 8800GT @ $250 without a large towering lead. they spend a lot of money to make game developers support NV You will find a file called FSAAProfilesDX10.txt and FSAAProfile.txt in config folder.

NV’s 16AA is better than 8AA, but not so easy to make out. Take for instance F.E.A.R, when it first came out, if you changed the F.E.A.R.exe to "anything else.exe" you got an extra ten FPS on ATI GPU's. when your kill the big monster on the carrier you run to the VTol and there is a movie with the ship sinking. ilovethemonkeyheadSounds like this card could be a good option for you. I use two computers to test the AA quality of ATI and NV, but with the same monitor(benq fp737s).
Demo was running without problems with these same graphic settings and on overclocked GPU too. you will get very high as default setting for all x2's and 4800 series........ And i have the latest drivers for ATI (catalyst 11.2.)... ...anyone else had this kind of problem with this game? For ati it loads 8xMSAA and on nvdia it loads 4xMSAA & 8xCSAA..
Not only is it less powerful and less value for money, but nvidia is really stingy about replacement of defects, not to mention they don't have one reliable third party manufacturer, Quote: Single GPU PerformanceUpdated (10/10/07): The move from the 7.9 driver to the 7.10 "Shoot-em-up" Catalyst update didn't have much of an effect on our single graphics card performance at all. But anyways, good luck and hopefully you'll be able to fix your issues right a way. :] Last edited by m33ks: 03-25-2011 at 01:45 AM. No, create an account now.

I don't understand the part "how changing the F.E.A.R.exe executable to something else which resulted in extra 10 FPS" has to do with Nvidia.
